The
Local Democracy Agency was created in february 2000. Partners of
Association “Progetto Prijedor” in the creation of LDA were the
Provinces of Cordoba (Spain) and Coté d’Or (France). The office of LDA
is located in the center of the Town; the people currently working
there are the Director, Mr. Giuseppe Terrasi, and two collaborators:
Mr. Dragan Dosen and Ms. Dragana Radanovic. Last year, Mr. Simone
Malavolti has been given the task to develop the Project
“Reconciliation and Memory” in collaboration with the Civic Forum and
the Historical Museum of Prijedor.
The LDA acts as link between European and Local Institutions: its aim is to support the dialog between the different ethnic groups and the development of local economy in order to satisfy the needs of the population of Prijedor. Besides this, LDA was created to promote the involvement of the local population into the process of Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union.
